Hannah Dolbeer: United States; B.A. Columbia College Chicago TEFL Certificate, TEFL Institute of Chicago I have a huge interest in language, travel, and cultural anthropology. One of my dreams is to work for the State Department as a public diplomacy FSO and spend my life traveling the world, involved with cultural understanding and exchange on a daily basis. Another goal of mine is to teach English abroad - specifically in a Portuguese-speaking nation - so that I can become fluent enough to facilitate the study of Portuguese instruction, and eventually become a fully fledged Portuguese instructor as well. I would like to attend a graduate studies program for Brazilian/Portuguese Studies, or something TESOL and Linguistics relate. I am most interested in studying linguistics and national identity, language acquisition, rhetoric, post-colonial studies, and other cultural theory. Specific regional interests are Brazil, Portugal, Latin America, China, France and the Francophone world.
